This week, we have an emphasis on creating a balance in your life. I’m sharing 4 resources to help with this: three books and one website resource.

Our Scripture this week is Ephesians 5:16 – “Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.”

1. My Kids’ Adventures

Michael Stelzner (Social Media Examiner) and his team have put together this website as a resource to help give ideas to create adventures with your family. Here’s a video:

2. The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People

I’ve started to read this book by Stephen Covey to help me move from efficient to become more effective and productive.

3. Beyond the To Do List Volume 1: Goals

This is the book by Erik J. Fisher and Jim Woods. I interviewed both of these men and was able to get some great insight from them.

4. Balance in the Christian Life

This book was written by a pastor in Kentucky, Dr. Jeffery Fugate, back in 2003. It gives some great perspective and practical ways to work at creating a balance in your life.

Thanks for the references Joshua! I hadn’t heard of My Kids Adventures, but that is definitley something I focus on doing. As I see the kids playing games it is a good time to come up with an adventure. I haven’t read the 7 Habits yet but it is on my list to read.

    1. Thanks, Wade. We try to keep our kids from spending too much time with electronics (TV, games, etc.), but this site should help to give some additional alternatives.

I plan to share some more about the 7 Habits as I go through it.

  2. Thanks so much for mentioning My Kids’ Adventures in your show!
