This is the first episode for the Quality Living Made Simple podcast. My name is Joshua Rivers, and I am your host. No, I don’t have it all figured out. I’m just trying to learn to improve my life and share my findings with you.

We all want to have a quality life. We run into difficult situations all the time. The purpose of this podcast is:

  • To understand what it really means to have a quality life
  • How to build and maintain that life with simple tips, tools, and tricks.

Today, we’ll look at:

  • Some simple tips to help with focus
  • Short lesson about accomplishing things
  •  What does it mean to have a quality life?
  • Review of questionnaire/survey

Simple tools and/or tips – “4 Strategies to Sharpen Your Focus

  1. Identify your learning style
  2. Visually map your time and tasks
  3. Fidget to help you focus
  4. Break up the tedious tasks

Short lesson (Nothing Undone)

(Joshua 11:15) As the LORD commanded Moses his servant, so did Moses command Joshua, and so did Joshua; he left nothing undone of all that the LORD commanded Moses.

Some related principles:

  1. Life is too short to do everything you’re supposed to do.
  2. That means something must be left undone.
  3. You show me what you leave undone, and I will tell you what kind of Christian you are.
  4. Most of us leave the important things undone and do the less important things.
  5. The reason for that is, big things never clamor for you time.
  6. So the important things must be done on purpose.

Three words: opportunity, intentionality, dedication. We must be intentional about what we do.

    1. Thanks, Bob! That’s one of the reasons I felt led to start it. I feel much more comfortable with writing than speaking, but I think I can help more people with the podcast.
